2. Parippally Gajamela

Location: Paripally Kodimootil Sree Bhadrakaali Temple, Kollam district

Gajamela is a celebration of elephants observed a small district in the state of Kerala which lies in the southern part of India and is lined by the Arabian Sea. The word “Gajam” means elephant and “Mela” means fair. India has always been known to be a land where elephants are worshiped and used in wars. 3. Goa Carnival

Date : 2nd – 5th March, 2019

This is a colour riot to see as Goa celebrates its annual carnival with much pomp and show. There are grand processions, dance and music performances and great food to rev up all your senses. The procession goes through the city of Panjim and other major cities to spread the message of merry making. The Goa carnival culminates with Red and Black Ball dance and crowning of King Momo (Ball takes place at Clube National in Panjim). 4. Eternal Mewar Holika Dahan

5. Lathmar Holi

Location: Barsana and Nandgaon, Mathura

Another unique way in which the festival of colours or Holi is celebrated in India is Lathmar Holi. Holi is generally celebrated by throwing colours at one another. But here the tradition is that the women use bamboos on men when they charge at the women with colours.
